Oh, and from the Pens blog, and I quote.. “The game lived up to the hype for the first two periods, and then things went awry in the third.”

I don’t think the game went awry, at all. In fact, I think we all know the game went the way it was supposed to, and should have. But, no worries, we will see the Pens again in February, and maybe they can try to make a come back, but I’d put money on it that they can’t.

I really hope Varly starts to get better. Not saying the Caps can’t play without him, I think it’s obvious the last hand full of games that they can, it would just be nice to see him healthy and playing. It majorly sucks that be probably won’t be in the Olympics, that’s a ‘two-thumbs-down’, big time.
I’m glad Theo can kind of, joke about that mistake goal. It’s good to see he can shake that off, and look forward to what’s more important.
See you soon, Carlson. No worries, we will see him back up here soon, and next year, even more so than this year. He’s been playing very well, and obviously, the team is going to keep Alzner up here, and send Carlson down. Alzner had to go through that last year, now it’s Carlson’s turn. But again, no worries, he will continue to play good with Hersey, and get called back up in no time, and keep up the good work her in DC.

Good point. I’m going to keep the link up, but you’re not wrong. I think a lot of sports blogs act as proxy cut-men for their teams, and absurdity/hyperbole gets rewarded. Obviously, that example manages to find the line of appropriateness and cross it. I did not and would not write that myself, but RMNB is not attached to that joke just by linking to them. Maybe we should temper our praise for Pensblog though? If it helps, let’s all read that line as snide and sarcastic now.

Really?? you link to thepensblog.com after the following quote from their site?
“It makes you wish the D.C. Sniper would have got a couple of extra kills.”

How is that even remotely funny, that wrong. And just shows the stupidity of that website. They are good people??? Really??
