Asterisks mean this game will not occur because Caps will win in 4 straight.

UPDATE: Thanks to Tarik, we know that Versus will air the first two games and CSN (Craig Laughlin, kthx?) will cover the two in Montreal.

“Asterisks mean this game will not occur because Caps will win in 4 straight.”

    Very well said. :)

“Asterisks mean this game will not occur because Caps will win in 4 straight.”

    I like that.

  • J_D_P

    Do not jinx.

“Asterisks mean this game will not occur because Caps will win in 4 straight.”

crap, now you’ve got to go outside, spin around 3 times and spit into the wind to prevent the jinx >:(

  • BobbyG

    NO JINX!

Are games 3 and 4 vs the Habs going to be televised in the US? I have NHL Center Ice so I hope I either get the TSN feed or another channel. I’d hate to have these games blacked out where I live

  • FedFed

    Via Tarik:
Update:I was informed late last night that Comcast SportsNet will carry all of the first round games because Versus is not exclusive in the first round.

  • BobbyG

Thank you FedFed (and Tarik) for the update on TV coverage for the Caps in the first round. I don’t know what I would have done if I couldn’t get all of the games.

Being a big-time sports channel, ESPN should show the playoffs. What a failure of a sports network.

  • BobbyG

Despite the fact that CSN will air all 7 round 1 games, I sent an email to the network about this because I don’t see any of these games on my DirecTV schedule. Someone from CSN replied, saying that because I live out of their footprint (MD, VA, DC, and parts of DE, WV and PA), there may be a chance that the games can be blacked out due to NHL regulations. If so I’ll only get the games on Versus.

All I can say to this is: BUMMER!

  • Peter Hassett

    @BobbyG, I promise there won’t be 7 round-1 games.

  • BobbyG

@ Peter Hassett: from your lips to the hockey gods’ ears!

I don’t think there will be 7 round 1 games either. My immediate concern is not being able to watch games 3 and 4 in Montreal. Versus isn’t carrying them, and I might get blacked out of the CSN telecasts.
