I’m all for smart, balanced hockey. I’m also all for letting players be who they are so that they can do what they do. The organization will anger the gods of hockey if the playoffs are not the ultimate strategic reason for this sort of play. I’ll be the sucker who waits patiently until the end of the season for the CAPS…again…again…(let’s not make this go into infinity seasons because hockey fans driven insane by an infinate loop hangin in limbo are no fun at parties!)

I’m really liking Ovi’s play of late. His wristers are more powerful making me think that some of his woes were due to a nagging injury that has healed.

Avtopilot–got a giggle out of your prediction, since we’ve won like one shootout all year. Maybe it’s time, though!

I’m trying to recall the Caps taking both games in a back-to-back this season, and I can’t come up with one. I feel like they haven’t done it even one time this year (which is why this loss was no surprise to me). Can anyone confirm or deny?
