^^^ What Greg said about the top line and PP

Only one day left to see what GM McPhee is able to pull off. 2C needed more than ever since 1C Backstrom isn't 100%. We also don't know for sure when/if Green returns or how effective he will be. The offense needs a boost, especially the PP. The Caps got away with a slow start and came back to win vs. the Isles, but this can't continue and could be disastrous if tried too often in the playoffs against a team not as bad as the Isles.

The Caps also have to be more consistent in effort and focus. Against the Isles some players looked confused and lazy at times, only willing to do the least amount of work to get the wni--and avoid being traded.

Sure lets trade Semin - and then not have any "panic button" options.

I've been saying it for ages - keep 8/19/28 together on the first line! It just makes sense right now.

Everything else on every other line should emphasize, compliment and work from that.

I think that February 2011 has sucked for Mike Green. Inner ear, outer jaw, flu, family death...March cannot get here fast enough for this kid, and I am on my knees praying it is significantly better for him, because then the whole team benefits.

Question: how does Sasha math work? If BadSasha turns the puck over and takes ill-advised stick penalties for 59 minutes, but GoodSasha scores the GWG, does that average out to give you just Sasha?

I could see a 2nd line of Sturm-Laich/Center acquired in trade-Semin being effective. Or maybe put Johansson at center, with Laich as RW. I think the acquisition of Sturm is the prelude to a winger going as part of a trade for a center.
