Here’s Braden Holtby’s submission to the NHL for save of the year. Clearly, he’s learned from the best!
Pure. Awesomeness. I’m getting highs from the replays.
I love him. Im glad it was a night of Good Sasha and that Holtby got a win.
I’ve thought this for a while now, but I really believe Holtby is our long-term goalie. He’s more athletic than Neuvy, more focused and less fragile than Varly and he brings a certain fierceness to the crease that reminds me of Kolzig in his prime. Not this season, but GMGM is going to have to make some decisions in net this summer.
At this point I think Varly is the odd man out. We try to get a draft pick or something for him since his crotch is apparently made of glass. Then again, Neuvy could bomb game one of the playoffs, and Varly carries us from there, I just hope Neuvs can be the one this year since he’s got the franchise record etc..
