Happy Birthday Rachel!

Caps took care of business, rebounding very nicely from the previous night's loss to the Sens. They have six more regular season games left, and IMO the effort and focus they show in these games will tell us a lot about their attitude and mindset going into the playoffs.

Other notes and musings:
--Holtby kicking the puck to his stick and then flipping it into his glove is the most awesome move by a Cap not named Ovie that I've seen in a long time.
--Semin continues to be mercurial and enigmatic, thus reinforcing the urgency of Jason Arnott returning quickly so we can see more of Dr. Jekyll and a lot less of Mr. Hyde in Sasha's persona and on-ice performance.
--The only article of clothing that comes close to the suit Don Cherry wore last night in its resemblance to sofa upholstery fabric is the pair of shorts Ovie wore in the beach scene on his DVD. Am I missing something, or is this type of fabric the latest fashion forward in thing? LOL :)

LOL ... I totally love Don Cherry's suits. I think you have understand Canadian fashions to "get" it. But having grown up in Vermont and seen what the Canadian tourists wore ... he's a little bit eccentric, but right in the pocket. That's his signature.

Joe B. (on the other hand) ... his suits are cool, he needs better ties.

Loved Holtby's middle finger to the Habs when he kicked that the puck up to his stick ... completely awesome move.

Don Cherry's suit looks like a ream of fabric I saw in the upholstery section of the JoAnn fabrics I was at the other night. Ugh. That man is more colourful than my peers at art college. And that's saying something.
