He was very nice to us. He didn’t seemed bothered at all when my kids were talking to him. Of course, there is the changing of the tire after the game 7 loss to the Habs. He is a class act. IMHO, the best nickname for #21–who I hope skates for the Caps until he can skate no more–would be to steal a page from the Habs’ traditions and call him “Le Brooksi“.

I had the pleasure of meeting Brooksy (or is it Brooksie?) at one of his many Ford dealership signings this last winter. It was near the end of the signing, and literally, me and my friend were the only two people there. I think Brooksy was bored, which made him extra chatty. We ended up talking uninterrupted for like 5 whole minutes! Which is (and was) pretty amazing! He seems like a totally stand-up guy – I hope the Caps do whatever they need to (except trading #28!) to keep him around for a few more years.
