I really enjoyed seeing a return of the Caps offense. No ugly 3-0 loss like the Islanders and Hurricanes games. Good to see the Caps come back from a deficit, in no small measure due to motivation for playing their Pens rivals. Thanks for the praise directed at Matty P, he certainly was awesome. And I agree 100% that Malkin is the best player in the NHL right now, no debate needed. He’s taken his team on his back in Crosby’s absence., a tenacious player and leader by example.

When will Dale learn that Semin and Ovi play better on the same line? They were great with Backstrom, then had a couple of “eh” games with Mojo on the west coast, where we suck anyway, and were then split up to poor results. Why Semin would still not start on the same line with Mojo out is a mystery to me, given his point-streak, but the game changed completely when Dale changed the lines. Take note, Dale.
