What the hell is your deal? As a Buffalonian we don't have any ill will towards Rochester, we love it. Rochester Americans are our AHL team, I mean sure we don't travel there much but if you think Buffalo has nothing to do, you've never seen Rochacha. Did you live there for 2 years? I'm not sure you really know what you're talking about. Whatever, we kicked your bandwagon fan base's ass last night. Our boys have more heart, integrity, and good people, kinda like Buffalo.

Is this a hockey post or a Buffalo history lesson? It appears to be both, which is neat, but it also appears that you left out a little bit on the hockey side. Mainly the part about how Buffalo, while maybe not the prettiest or fanciest city (yeah you are definitely right about that), may be one of the best hockey cities in the United States. I mean, we all love hockey right? That's why we're here, isn't it? So surely a hockey fan from the booming metropolis of Rochester (that's a joke) can at least appreciate how much we love our hockey here. And that should at least count for something. Rochester may have given us Wegmans (and boy do I love Wegmans! seriously, best grocery store ever), but we happen to have an NHL team, which is pretty nifty too. We also get to host cool hockey events like the Winter Classic. In fact, the NHL thinks we're so swell that they let us host the very first one. The IIHF also decided we were cool enough to host the World Juniors last year. So yeah, you can feel sorry for us but you really don't have to. Because I don't. I mean how could I? I got to cheer on Evgeny Kuznetsov and Dmitry Orlov as they carried their team to a stunning gold medal victory - IN PERSON! Just because I live in Buffalo, of all places. Imagine that. :)

Sorry, just had to say that. As a Sabres fan living in Buffalo who also happens to love the Caps as my second favorite team, I was kind of expecting this type of stuff from both sides today. But I still kind of feel the need to stick up for my hometown a little bit from time to time. And I will stop rambling now and try to start mentally preparing myself for the game because I'm going to need all day for this. haha.

Good luck tonight, guys! I'll be the girl rocking back and forth on the floor in front of her TV like a crazy person.
