There’s no bull here. They specifically do it during training camp, before the season starts, so they know they can have all the players and there won’t be a scheduling problem. Also, they have to get a facility well in advance and get the speakers, ex-players, etc. Doing it later would be problematic, at best.

I think there are a bunch of logistical concerns that would make rescheduling difficult.

I live 5 time zones away and can’t go but even I think this is bull. Yes if there’s a lock out then it’s a no go and that’s fine but what’s to stop them staging it after a CBA’s been agreed? The season runs till June (April if you’re the Islanders) so why not arrange it for another time? It’s a bit weak from the Caps to be honest.
