I love Eric Fehr! I was so sad when he left…I have met him a few times at Kettler and Verizon…my 7y/o LOVES hockey and I have logged too many hours to count standing outside waiting for “our” CAPS. Eric has always been so nice! He talked to my son for several minutes about how he did on his Mites on Ice game…my son still talks about it! It meant the world to me and my son….imagine one of your hero’s taking the time to ask you how you did in a game…..He will always be a favorite in our house…Welcome Back Eric!

Back in 2009, I waited outside Kettler for autographs after practice one day. He came out, signed various items for some fans and then started walking away. I was a little disappointed, but he turned back around and saw me standing there, waiting patiently, and proceeded to ask if I was waiting for an autograph as well. He then made his way over, signed my jersey, and asked how I was doing as he signed it. Been one of my favorite players since. He’s such a stand-up guy and I’m so glad to see him back with the Capitals.

I am with Jack – bring back fan favorite (especially mine), shoot out specialist, and team bleeder Matt Bradley. I named my cat after him (which he is aware of) and even signed the Caps build a bear jersey that I got for the cat for Halloween. It says “To the Professor from the Professor”. It was an incredible moment I had with my favorite player ever for the Caps.

That alone is the reason to bring Fehr back in. Making one fan happy. And more than for just today – I think she’ll feel happy anytime she see Eric wearing Weagle on his shoulder.

Great story. Will confess to be somewhat of a Fehr fan myself. I have managed to meet him a few times myself and enjoyed meeting him. He had gorgeous blue eyes, as well. (For me, my favorite players are a somewhat random collection, including some stars and some non-stars)
