You’re awesome Ian. And I think it’s great that you’ve gotten back to walking during lunches, keep it up! I am inspired every day by people like you who are doing things to get healthier. My wife Kim, who has lost 50 lbs through sheer will and excercise, Michelle Polk, who has lost 46 lbs, Ted Leonsis, who looks absolutely great these days, and Kimberly Lewis, a Caps fan who has lost over 100 lbs, looks terrific and is now writing a cookbook! There are stories of people getting healthy everywhere around us, and I’m inspired by them all. You’re right about the Caps family – they’ve been very cool and supportive. Just as you and my friends on RMNB have been. Thank you sir. I’m grateful for your friendship.

Doing this story, I was impressed by the culture the Caps organization has and how much the employees genuinely care about each other. The way Elaine volunteered her strengths like that to Wes — and doing it so sweetly and without pressure — is uplifting.

Wes, it was an absolute honor to write this story. I am so very proud of you. I could never imagine a Capitals game without your goal calls. Keep up the hard work! You are an inspiration.
