Now that all the big-name hockey media sources have joined us in reporting that Mikhail Grabovski will sign a one-year with the Washington Capitals, it’s time for a reckoning.
And by that I mean I photoshopped Grabo into a #84 Caps jersey so you can stare at it and air-punch and weep with joy while all the while laughing at a million bereaved Maple Leafs fans.
Boy does he look like Gonchar here. Scary.
We invite you to join the fun. Photoshop your own Caps!Grabo and drop it in the comments below. Feel free to get weird. We’re RMNB; we love weird.
Man, from some of his pictures, he looks unsettlingly like Alex Semin. Maybe it’s the hair and mild crazy eyes.
That weird light behind Grabovski’s head is not poor photoshopping by me. I repeat: it’s not bad photoshopping by me. It’s an actual glow because he’s an angel and he’s here to save the team and lead them to the promised land and a million bazillion Stanley Cups.
But… but his shoulders 🙁
In the Caps new third uniform…
This. Is. AMAZING.
Whose baby shoulders are those?

Grabo in the next Hobbit movie
I hate to be that guy, but this feels strangely similar to the Voukswagen signing.
And even if Grabo plays well, what are the odds of affording him after he hits the open market?
He got $5.5M in his peak before he got bought out. He’s probably affordable in the future, but that’s not super-pertinent right now. He’s here this season, and that’s what matters.
You’d never guess. It’s John Erskine’s.
I’m confused. Too much news in one day.
The Big Grabovski
HAHAHAHA Ovi as de jesus is amazing!
If MJ90 gets signed to a 1 year contract, i predict the 2 of em competing for a roster spot, and the other one either being traded at the deadline, or let go into free agency.
Yeah, though I think it could come sooner. It seems like the Caps are swelling with marginal top-6 forward talent and a bit short of top-4 defense. A trade is possible and would be wise.
Now that’s weird!
