We’re a hockey/astronomy blog, but if I told you a quarter of last week’s traffic came from stories in which Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin modeled things, you wouldn’t blame me for going back to the well one moar time.
And so: Nike debuted its Nike Tech Pack, Tech Fleece collection two weeks ago, and Ovi is one of many famous athletes who modeled for the collection.
Few of us will ever know what it’s like to be a professional athlete. The rush of competing on a world stage atop perfectly groomed fields, courts, and tracks while millions of fans scream your name is a feeling we can only dream of.
Downtime while getting to and from practice is often an athlete’s only moment of relaxation. But truthfully, the spotlight never turns off. Even during their off moments these athletes are on.
In those moments comfort is everything. For that, athletes like Rory McIlroy, Matt Kemp, Kyrie Irving, Adrian Peterson, Alexander Ovechkin, Jon Jones, Neymar Jr., Allyson Felix, Perry Shakes-Drayton, Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott, Kevin Prince Boateng, Paul Rodriguez, Rafa Nadal, and Li Na turn to the next generation of classic sport apparel: Nike’s Tech Pack, Tech Fleece Collection.
I’m pretty sure that’s supposed to be inspiring or something.
Regardless of if you’re going to buy them or not, here are a bunch of overly dramatic black and white photos of Alex Ovechkin.
The full collection can be bought here.
