ted-leonsis-videobomb

For those who threw their remotes out the window when the Caps season ended, you’re missing out. The Caps co-tenants at Verizon Center, the Washington Wizards, have won their first playoff series since 2005 and upset the number-one seed Indiana Pacers in game one. On Wednesday night, ahead of game two, CSN Washington’s Chris Miller did a live shot from Bankers Life Fieldhouse during Wizards Central.

And then Ted Leonsis video-bombed Miller on live TV. Troy Brouwer would be so proud.

The transcript goes a little something like this.

Chris Miller: “This is Chris Miller along side… Well, lookee here. The power of live television!”

Ted Leonsis: “I heard [you say] pizza. They’ve got really great food here.”

[…]

Chris Miller: “I really love the power of live television where the owner can just come over and hang out.”

Ted Leonsis: “I’m video-bombing you.”

[laughs]

Chris Miller’s reaction is priceless. We need to take a look at this again and slow the GIF down. He does a double take and is like “Whaaaaaaaa?

So yes, Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis is now video-bombing people. When the Caps make it to the Stanley Cup Finals, I can’t wait to see Uncle Ted rip his shirt off and helicopter it around like he just don’t care.

Props to the DC Sports Bog who tweeted a photo of this.

If you needed proof that Ted reads RMNB, you now have it.

This is great! Bonus: I just watched a handful of Caps video bombs courtesy of the “Related” list and had a much needed chuckle after a long day. Thank you, RMNB! That’s one of many reasons I come here.

Say what you will about the Caps’ organization, ticket pricing, etc…If asked to choose whom I respect more as a quality human being, I’d still take Ted Leonsis over Dan Snyder any day of the week.
