Washington Capitals defenseman and fashion icon Mike Green has gotten hitched. Green married girlfriend Courtney on Saturday night in Calgary, as documented by Green’s friend Paul Woloshyn on Instagram.
Green, freshly shaven, looked slim in a simple tux with a bowtie.
Nick Backstrom was apparently in attendance as well, as reported by Expressen and translated by Hockey Ramblings earlier this week.
No pictures of the bride yet, but it’d be tough for her to look anything but stunning. From last year:
Best wishes to the happy couple!
Congrats to them both! (Yeahh GMU represent)
Peter wrote a wedding article….weird.
Gratz to Green.
Here’s what Ovi thinks about plus minus: “With the help of the plus/minus contracts can be obtained,” the 28-year-old forward said. “Once our defenseman Jeff Schultz was plus-50. He was plus-5 in the last game. And he signed a contract for four years averaging $2.75 million [Ovechkin makes big eyes]. And then his contract was bought out, and he signed for only $700,000 a year. Jeff is a good guy. But these plus/minus stats say very little about a player himself or the game as a whole.”
Mike Green is a good lucking dude and his now wife is SMOKIN’. Good for the both of them!
Not gonna lie, I’m a little bummed that Karlsson didn’t show up to pull a Mrs. Robinson in the church so he and Green could ride off on Green’s Vespa.
He handles the subject like somebody picking up a dead spider out of the bathtub. But, to be fair:
1. This is perfectly normal for bachelors, and
2. He did better than most of us probably would if we wrote about stats.
Congratulations to Mike and Courtney!
Congrats to the crazy kids.
I’d hate to see him in any uniform other than ours. Congrats to him.
Oh Schultzy. Well he’s in a better place now
Was Backstrom the only Cap in attendance or just the only one confirmed? Seems crazy that the rest of the team wouldn’t be there either lol
