This is What It Looks Like When Tom Wilson Loses a Fight (GIF)

The second period of the Caps/Blue Jackets was insane. There were 42 penalty minutes in the middle stanza and three fights. The bout that kicked things off was Tom Wilson going up against 6’2″, 215 lbs enforcer Dalton Prout. Wilson has pretty much never lost a fight at the NHL level.

You might know Prout from his one-punch knockout of Milan Lucic.

Wilson fared a bit better than Lucic, but not much better.

Yeah.

The official asked Willy Baby if he was okay. Of course, he replied he was fine.

Wilson repeatedly looked over at Prout in the penalty box with a look of “did that really happen?”

This was just a beginning of the violence. Michael Latta fought Jared Boll.

Troy Brouwer fought Michael Chaput.

John Carlson swung at the back of a Blue Jackets’ head after a rough hit from Nick Foligno.

It got crowded in the penalty box.
