In the second period of tonight’s game vs. the Habs, Andrew Shaw decided to continue his streak of being the biggest dickhead in the sport and was ejected for boarding Caps defenseman Connor Hobbs.

Shaw earned 30 penalty minutes from his meltdown — a five-minute major for boarding, a five-minute major for fighting, a 10-minute misconduct, and a 10-minute game misconduct. He was ejected.
He may also receive the distinction of becoming the first NHL player to get a phone call from the Department of Player Safety this season.
