Coming back from commercial while the Caps were down 1-0 to the Florida Panthers, CSN’s Jill Sorenson conducted a short interview with a short, tough, special little girl named Addy Flint. Addy was enthusiastic about her favorite player, one Trance Jazz Oshie. The interview concluded and we returned to play.
Then TJ Oshie scored.

It was a great play. Alex Ovechkin and Oshie led the odd-man rush. Ovi had a window to shoot, and Roberto Luongo probably thought he would, but instead he threaded a lateral pass to Oshie.
Top shelf goal. Tie game.

Meanwhile, Sorenson’s interview with precocious Wish Kids Mauve and Addy was adorable.
“Mauve, Nicklas Backstrom is fighting for you. What was it like meeting him?” Sorenson asked.
“He’s nice,” Maeve responded in the cutest voice ever.
“And Abby over here is like best friends with TJ Oshie,” Sorenson said. “Tell me about TJ Oshie.”
“He’s super nice,” Addy, who has been in remission for three years, said. “It was a dream come true to meet him. I mean, it was amazing.”
Well now she can say TJ scored a goal for her.
