The Washington Capitals have clearly stepped their bobblehead game up this season. A week after allowing fans to vote for one of three fantastic personality-driven player bobbles, the Capitals released their holiday ticket package and its accompanying gift is one of the most clever Alex Ovechkin bobbleheads ever produced.
Basically Ceramic Ovi is the clay clone of Human Ovi. The front of the bobblehead features Ovechkin’s signature gap-toothed grin and his greying mop of hair.
The back features Ovechkin’s iconic number eight in the Caps red home jersey. Ceramic Ovi also iconically raises his left leg in the air either to celebrate another goal or spray his opponents like they’re a fire hydrant.
But it’s the interactive career points counter at the base that makes this bobblehead brilliant. Ovechkin is currently 23 points away from 1,000. From now until Ovi calls it quits, you can track his career points as he passes one Hockey Hall of Famer after the next.
