Hours before the Capitals 5-2 win against the New Jersey Devils, news broke that TJ Oshie would not be playing due to a family emergency.
It appears that Oshie’s two-year-old daughter, Lyla, is in the hospital.
Reader Cara Bahniuk sent us two videos from Lauren Oshie’s Snapchat. Lauren posted around the time the Caps-Devils game ended. In the videos, Lyla appears to be wearing a hospital gown.
TJ can be seen doing his fatherly duty to cheer up his little girl, as he and Lyla mimic each other’s silly dance moves and butt wiggling.
Despite the dreary environment, both daddy and daughter have smiles on their faces.
Here’s hoping that Lyla is okay and that the Oshies can return home soon.
