Breaking: Andre Burakovsky cut his hair and is attempting to grow a playoff beard

The Capitals’ morning skate left us with more questions than answers. Why is Chandler Stephenson here? Will Karl Alzner ever play again? And What is that thing on Andre Burakovsky’s face?

Yes, everyone’s favorite Swedish cinnamon roll cut his hair and he’s also trying to grow a playoff beard.

Let’s take a closer look.

Gone is Andre Burakovsky’s now Internet-famous Step Brothers look from picture day. No more poof. No more Dale. The style was supposedly an on-going bet with Marcus Johansson during the regular season.

The Burracuda kept some poof to the top of his head while shaving down the sides. According to RMNB reader @heyjulieann, Burakovsky looks like Justin Timberlake circa 1999.

As for the beard, this is a bit more of a disaster. There’s like a tiny slice of dark brown hair going down the side of Burakovsky’s face while the rest of it is blonde.

But whatever. I love the effort.
