Alex Ovechkin geeks out meeting legendary soccer player Pelé

One of the greatest footballers of all time, Pelé, was in Moscow this week to celebrate the grand opening of a new Hublot watch store and the 2018 World Cup being a year away. During the ceremony, Pelé released a dove at a picturesque ceremony in Red Square.

Friday, Pelé also attended a Hublot Loves Football gala at TsUM – one of the most renowned high end department stores in the city. Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin, one of the 2018 World Cup ambassadors, was invited to the event.

The two all-time greats managed to take a photo together.

Ovechkin was joined by his wife Nastya Ovechkina, who took video and snapped a photo from their seats at table 5.

In March 2015, Ovechkin also fanboyed over Messi, when he met the world-famous soccer player at FedEx Field.
