At an undisclosed golf course and at an undisclosed hole, Washington Capitals forward Marcus Johansson tallied his first career hole in one.
Early Sunday morning, Johansson posted two photos and a video of his accomplishment, though he did not have footage of the immaculate drive.
“First hole in one 🍾🍾⛳️😁🎉” Johansson wrote with a flurry of emojis.
Johansson’s video captures him approaching the hole on the green. Of course Mojo’s Titleist golf ball is is branded with a number 90 on it.
As you would expect, Johansson’s Capitals teammates, past and present, were supportive and congratulatory.
“Ya rights jojo,” commented Capitals enforcer Tom Wilson.
“Oh ya rightssss jo!” added Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Nate Schmidt. “Hahah congrats!”
Other congratulatory comments Johansson received from his followers included:
- “Has a lot of practice by getting kicked out of the playoffs so early all the time”
- “The guy before you forgot his ball haha”
- “You gotta buy everyone a round of drinks now”
Johansson can now say he is as an accomplished golfer as Caps captain Alex Ovechkin.
Ovechkin, after borrowing some clubs from his teammates, tallied a hole in one the first time he ever golfed back in 2007.
“I SWEAR GAHHHH,” Ovechkin said of the moment.
