With Hershey Bears training camp underway, the Washington Capitals announced new roster moves as they whittled their training camp roster down to 30 on Tuesday.
The Caps released defenseman Jyrki Jokipakka from his professional try out offer while sending five others down to AHL Hershey – two of which must pass through waivers.

The Capitals sent forward Riley Barber, defenseman Colby Williams, and goaltender Parker Milner to the Bears. The Caps also placed Zach Sill and Liam O’Brien on waivers in an attempt to send the pair down to their minor-league club.

Beyond Pheonix Copley, who will likely be Hershey’s starting goaltender this season, the Caps must now eliminate six more players to reach the NHL’s 23 player roster maximum.
