TJ Oshie scores last-minute goal with pretty passing play

The Capitals nearly lost their third game in a row in regulation, but a brilliant passing play by the team’s star forwards during a last-minute, 6-on-5 tied the game to force overtime.

With Braden Holtby pulled, the Caps pressed. Nick Backstrom got the puck into the zone but got cornered. Backstrom fed it to Evgeny Kuznetsov, who found Andre Burakovsky at the net mouth. Burakovsky corraled the puck but couldn’t get a shot off, so he handed it to TJ Oshie, who never freaking misses.

Look at this gorgeousness.

It’s TJ Oshie’s sixth goal, and it earned the Caps a crucial standings point against a team they have no business losing to. Oshie stayed in the game despite absorbing a gnarly high stick that would chip one of this teeth.

Alex Ovechkin would later score a milestone overtime goal to secure the Caps both standings points.
