10:14 into the second period, Devante Smith-Pelly took a two-minute holding penalty against Zach Parise. DSP has taken eight minors this season, but this trip to the penalty box was anything but routine.
As Smith-Pelly fan sat in the box, a Minnesota Wild fan heckled the Caps forward through a gap in the glass.
DSP responded subtly. As he chewed on his mouthguard, Smith-Pelly squirted the fan with his water bottle, using the glass as a deflection.
At the end of the clip, watch how the fan rubs his right eye. DSP is winning at life, y’all.
