Tuesday night, the wild tale of Axel Jonsson-Fjällby continued as his Djurgården kicked off their semifinal playoff series with Skellefteå. The speedy winger entered the third round of the Swedish playoffs tied for the league lead in goals and second in points.

Djurgården got the lead halfway through the first, when Markus Ljung struck on the power play. And late in the period, the Capitals prospect continued his success.
Jonsson-Fjällby gathered the puck in the corner an fed a centering pass for Marcus Davidsson. The Buffalo Sabres prospect failed on his shot attempt, but his younger brother Jonathan found the puck and shot it past goaltender Joni Ortio for a 2-0 lead.
With his secondary assist, Jonsson-Fjällby temporarily gained the lead in playoff points. Later in the game Skellefteå’s Pär Lindholm would add a goal and an assist to boot to retake the lead in points.
Skellefteå flipped Djurgården’s 2-0 lead and grabbed a 3-2-lead late in the game. Djurgården equalized late in the third with the goalie pulled to push the game into overtime.
The game ended 4-3 Skellefteå, who grabbed the 1-0 series lead in spectacular fashion. Jimmie Ericsson scored on a set play off a breakout for the OTGWG.
