Verizon Center glows red again with glow stick giveaway

Ahead of Game One Thursday, the Washington Capitals gave out red glow sticks again to all 18,506 fans in attendance. As we noted before, a white oblong piece of foam is not something you’d consider a great collectible, but when used in harmony by a sold-out Verizon Center, the effect is stunning.

Just take a look for yourself.
